Exhaust

Exhaust systems route combustion byproducts from the engine through a series of components to the atmosphere. Systems typically begin with an exhaust manifold collecting cylinder exhaust, followed by catalytic converters to reduce harmful emissions. Mid-pipe sections connect to mufflers, utilizing resonance and absorption to attenuate noise. Tailpipes complete the system, directing exhaust gases rearward. Construction materials commonly include aluminized steel, stainless steel, and titanium alloys, selected for heat resistance, durability, and weight reduction.
