This little rubber seal basically protects the ABS wheel speed sensor. The sensor itself reads how fast your wheels are turning, and that information is critical for your anti – lock braking system and stability control. The seal keeps out dirt, water, and debris that could damage the sensor. It's also designed to hold lubricant in place, keeping everything running smoothly. Think of it as being right there at the wheel hub, nestled around the sensor. It’s part of the wheel hub assembly, so it spins with the wheel.
