Sway Bar

Sway bars, also known as anti-roll bars, are torsion springs connecting opposite wheels via linkage. Primarily used in vehicle suspension systems, they resist body roll during cornering by transferring force between wheels. Constructed from high-strength steel alloys, sway bars vary in diameter to tune handling characteristics; larger diameters increase stiffness. Linkage assemblies, utilizing ball joints or bushings, connect the bar to the suspension components. Adjustable sway bars allow for fine-tuning of roll stiffness via modified end links or bushing settings.
