AC Condenser (Radiator)

AC Condensers are heat exchangers positioned in front of the radiator, responsible for rejecting heat from the refrigerant gas circulating within the vehicle’s air conditioning system. These components utilize a fin and tube design, typically constructed of aluminum, to maximize surface area for efficient thermal transfer to ambient air. High-pressure, high-temperature refrigerant enters the condenser as a gas and exits as a high-pressure liquid. Condenser core construction includes flat tube or micro-channel designs, influencing heat transfer efficiency and pressure drop. Robust construction and corrosion resistance are critical for long-term durability within the engine compartment environment.
