Instrument clusters are vehicle information centers, typically integrated into the driver’s direct line of sight within the interior cabin. They display critical operating data such as vehicle speed, engine RPM, fuel level, and warning indicators via analog gauges, digital displays, or a combination of both. Modern clusters increasingly incorporate programmable features, customizable displays, and data communication via CAN bus networks. Components include printed circuit boards, stepper motors (for analog gauges), LCD/TFT screens, illumination systems, and housing assemblies. Calibration and coding are often required post-replacement to ensure accurate data and vehicle integration.
