ABS Hydraulic Unit

ABS Hydraulic Units regulate brake fluid pressure to individual wheels during braking events, preventing wheel lockup and maintaining steering control. Located within the vehicle’s braking system, typically near the master cylinder, these units house solenoid valves activated by the ABS control module. Internal pumps and accumulators generate and store hydraulic pressure for rapid application and release. Modern units often integrate electronically controlled proportional valves for precise pressure modulation and may include features like early brake assist. Diagnostic ports facilitate testing of pump motor function, solenoid operation, and internal pressure sensors.
