This part basically pushes the air through your vents – heat, AC, defrost, everything. It's an electric motor with a fan attached. It pulls air from outside or recirculates the air inside the car, then forces it through the heater core or evaporator core – that's where the air gets heated or cooled – and then out to you. It has different speed settings, so you can control how much air is moving. It's a key part of your car’s HVAC system – that’s Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning. Without it, you’d have no airflow, meaning no heat in the winter, no AC in the summer, and your windows would fog up quickly because there’s no way to dehumidify the air.
