This part basically takes the rotating motion of your wiper motor and turns it into the back – and – forth swinging motion of your wiper blades. It’s a system of rods and pivots, a mechanical connection really, that gets the power from the motor out to the windshield. It allows the blades to move across the glass smoothly and consistently, and also lets them reverse direction. Think of it as the arms and legs of your windshield wipers.
